My name is Martina Lastikova and I am currently serving as s Professional Development Director at Brunel Rotaract club. I have graduated from Brunel University in 2019, obtaining a BSc. in Sociology. My passion for Education and Development has driven me throughout my personal and professional life. In 2020, I became the youngest ever READY Programme lecturer at Brunel. READY is an employability programme that gives students the opportunity to learn about product and service design while working in teams to explore ideas and create solutions to benefit a refugee community in Zambia. I am also a Trainer at Otermans Institute, helping to reach their goal to upskill the generation of learners. I recently started a platform 'Vagary stories' which collects stories from students who've lived, travelled abroad and also people who are actively making change in their local communities. We have stories from South Africa, Uganda, South America and counting.
